Tawaasal now speaks 11 languages
May 23, 2026 · Abdulkareem H. Ali
Today, the Tawaasal app speaks your language — eleven of them.
When we first opened our doors, we promised that more languages were on the way. Today they're here — right inside the Tawaasal app your school signs in to, in any browser and on mobile.
In the web app (the version you use in your browser), all eleven languages are live for schools today, along with a redesigned language picker and brand-new per-school controls. The same eleven languages are arriving in the mobile app in our latest update, alongside a more polished mobile experience.
Eleven languages, available now
Tawaasal now speaks:
- English
- العربية — Arabic
- Deutsch — German
- اردو — Urdu
- Español — Spanish
- Français — French
- Português — Portuguese
- हिन्दी — Hindi
- Türkçe — Turkish
- فارسی — Persian
- 日本語 — Japanese
Every screen adapts to the language you choose — including full right-to-left layouts for Arabic, Urdu, and Persian, so those languages read exactly as they should rather than as an afterthought. Pick the language that feels like home, and Tawaasal follows.
Translated by AI — and made better with your help
Here's the honest version: these translations were written with the help of AI, with school words like attendance, grades, and homework handled carefully so they read naturally in each language rather than literally.
AI is good at this, but it isn't perfect — and nobody knows your language better than you do. So if you ever come across a word or phrase that doesn't read quite right in your language, we'd genuinely love to hear about it. Send us a quick note on our [contact page](/en/contact) — tell us the language and what you'd suggest — and we'll put it right. Every little correction makes Tawaasal feel more at home for the next family that opens it in the same language. Think of it as building these translations together.
Switch languages in a single tap
We rebuilt the language picker from the ground up. Open it and you'll see every available language in its own name and flag — العربية beside its flag, 日本語 beside its, and so on — so there's never any guessing. One tap, and the whole app changes language instantly. It's the same friendly picker in the web app today, and in the new mobile app.
Each school chooses its own languages
Languages aren't one-size-fits-all, so schools stay in control. In the web app, school admins get a redesigned Languages settings page where they can:
- Enable or disable any of the eleven languages for their school
- Set a default language for everyone
- Manage languages in bulk, in just a few clicks
That means a school can offer exactly the languages its community speaks — and nothing it doesn't. This is available to school admins in the web app today.
A more polished mobile experience
Alongside the new languages, the latest mobile app brings a refreshed look and feel. We've tidied up panels and menus across the app for a smoother, more modern experience — the same Tawaasal you know, with a little more polish in every corner.
Getting the update
The web app is live today. The eleven languages, the new language picker, and per-school language settings are ready for your school right now — just sign in to Tawaasal in your browser and try them.
The mobile app brings the same eleven languages plus the refreshed experience in version 1.5.0, rolling out now on the App Store and Google Play. (iOS is in final review and rollout, and Android is on its way.) If you don't see the update on your device yet, hang tight — it's coming.
To every teacher, student, parent, and admin who can now read Tawaasal in their own language: this one's for you. مرحبا, Hallo, Olá, नमस्ते, こんにちは — and welcome.
